The Beginning

Hello World !

I feel like I'm right in the middle of a new chapter of life. Between family, choice of friends, school, my current job and my future. I attend a local university and this Fall will be my third year of college. Looking back *thinking* WOW ! I've been through so much in just a two year span, that has changed who I am as an individual. It's quite amazing really how much I've learned.

One of the things would be, being able to cope with difficult situations. I am a firm believer in fate. I believe the way your life plays out is the way it was all meant to be. In saying that, my broken relationships (friends & BOYfriends) shaped me into the individual who sits in front of this computer at this very hour.

My current thought is: The hardest thing about betrayal is forgetting. If we could selectively delete bad memories and even good memories with bad people; it would be so much easier. Well, I've learned that life isn't easy, but when you work hard for something you always appreciate it more in the end. So if you struggle with sadness and depression, you'll know what it's like and appreciate being truly happy one day.

To switch it up a bit, just so you get to know me let me formally introduce myself. My name is Dyme and I'm 19 years old. I have an amazing supportive mother and loving caring boyfriend. I have a Pentecostal background but I am a non denominational believer. I have a Jamaican background and enjoy my culture's food and music very much. As far as interests go, it's pretty much anything. I'm open to trying new things at high lengths. I believe in cherishing the current moment to avoid regret later down the line.

I was inspired to begin a blog by a long time friend, Chekera. My aunt Michelle also writes. In future posts I will talk about my viewpoint on typical everyday issues and in media/news. My personal life including my relationships (of all kind). I love changing my hairstyles and I plan on going natural ! So you'll get to be apart of my hair journey as well. I even may go as far as to posting my shopping hauls ! So stay tuned for more posts in the near future.
